Transporting Our SUP

This afternoon we took a drive up to Lake Wilcox with my new stand up paddle board on the roof.  Our neighbour came over to help make sure that we did it safely.  There is a lot that could possibly go wrong if you don't tighten all of the straps properly and very tightly.  The board on the roof of your car isn't the most aerodynamic and at high speeds the board could come loose.  As it was, we were driving on in-town roads at lower speeds and the board was moving around a bit.  We were very relieve to make it to the lake and back without any incidents.

The board is a Boga Yoga board and was extremely stable and made for a very fun ride.  It was a big step up from my Blue Water iSUP of last year.  No more pumping up the board.  That was a major pain in the butt.  We were out on the water for a few hours and had a great time.  Neal had his inflatable kayak or as it is known around here, "The Titanic".  We both had a great time and look forward to doing it again soon.
