Hamilton Waterfalls & Niagara On-The-Lake

This weekend Neal and I visited Hamilton, Ontario and went to see Albion Falls.  It is a 19 meter classical/cascade waterfall flowing down the Niagara Escarpment in the Red Hill Valley.

Despite the various signs warning of bears and ticks Neal still wanted to go for a wander through the forest.  It's beautiful and quiet on the trails.  You do have to be extremely careful not to get too close to the sides though.  The summer many people have strayed too close and have fallen and had to be rescued.  Because of the rain there has been a lot of erosion.

After visiting the waterfall, we drove to Niagara On-The-Lake to walk around and have some dinner.  We were sitting on a bench just looking out at the water relaxing.  The building you can see out in the distance is Fort George National Historic Site.
