York Durham Heritage Railway

Today we took a ride on the York Durham Heritage Railway/.  If you're  train buff or you just have the spirit of adventure this the something you might enjoy.  Neal and I love trains.  This rail line was originally built in the late 1860s and the train cars are from the 1950s and have been fully restored.  The train takes you on a short ride through the Oak Ridges Moraine.  This time of year you can see the fall foliage.  The leaves have just started to change colour.  It was really pretty.

They welcome families and have some face painting and this clown who makes animal balloons for the kids.
Here you can see the changing colours of the leaves.
This guy is the ticket taker and if you want to know some of the history of the railway he is able to tell you.

 Goofing around at the crossing!
