News From The Homefront
So we've been in our house for 8 months now and have come a very long way. Our kitchen is all set up as good as we can get it. We've gotten two extra storage cabinets in our dining room to hold all of our overflow kitchen gadgets. The good news......we got a dishwasher. Ok it's not a built-in one but it works like a charm. We weren't able to have a built-in version because there wasn't enough space. We also have a BBQ. I love my Broil King BBQ and use it as often as I can. The food just tastes so much better on the BBQ.
We've weathered a very long and cold winter, almost been run over by a crazy snow plow operator (it's a long story) and have reacquainted ourselves with the fine art of shovelling. We really missed living in the condo during the winter. Thankfully it is now summer and we have learned how to mow the lawn (and boy do we have a lot of lawn to mow). We bought an electric lawn mower and trimmer. The trimming is my job. We also have a lot of pretty roses and flowers that are just emerging and have yet to open. My crowning glory is the vegetable garden. It is coming along rather well, except for the holes in the leaves due to hail damage. We had some pretty nasty storms the last few weeks and no fewer than 3 hail storms. We are growing peppers, peas, tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini and sunflowers. Once we get some vegetables I will post the photos for all to see.
Well, that's all for now.
