Home Sweet Home

Well, we've finally moved into our first home and it all went relatively smoothly. We hired Phillips Moving and Storage for the big event and they did a fair job. Things all went well during the move out at the condo, but once they got to our house the movers got tired and by the end they had misplaced a glass top for a table but found it in the truck the next day. They put a scratch in Neal's wood table and they left a wedge in our screen door and then tried to close the door with the wedge still in it thus breaking the door. We are still trying to get Phillips to fix our door.

We are trying to get use to our new house and all of the little quirks that it has. The next day after we moved in, I got the worst case of stomach flu ever so my Mom and my Mother-in-law went above and beyond the call of duty and helped us unpack and put stuff away. Aren't Mom's great!!!! Then my Dad came over to help us hang some pictures on the wall. This place is actually beginning to take shape.

We do have issues with our kitchen as it's very outdated and lacks cabinet space. It sure wasn't designed to be a kosher kitchen. I think after we get a pantry or two we should be ok for space, and eventually down the road we can gut the kitchen and start again it should be better.  We'll have to win the lottery before we can do that.
