The Suprise Shower

On April 15th, Neal, my Mom and I went to the Isaac's Bakery to put in our order for the wedding cake. (Sorry no photo of it until after the wedding. We want to surprise everyone.) After the cake was ordered Mom asked me if I wanted to go to Bayview Shopping Mall to walk around. I had no problem with this as I love to look around at the mall. Neal had to go to work so he couldn't come with us or so he said.

Mom and I went to the mall, except that it was Sunday and all of the stores were still closed. I was a little disappointed. She suggested that we have an early lunch at Il Fornello as she had to go out later with my Dad. I wasn't particularly hungry but went anyway. As soon as we got into the restaurant I started to recognize my family and Neal's family. Then I knew something was up and I was really surprised to find that the bridesmaids and parents had thrown a surprise shower for me. For the past week when they were planning this party I must have walked around in such a wedding induced haze that I didn't suspect a thing. Neal was in on the whole planning process as well. You have to know that it takes a lot to surprise us. We are normally a very inquisitive family.

It was a wonderful brunch with pizza, salads, pasta, veggies, etc. For dessert we had a fantastic cake from Loblaws. It tasted so great. Then I opened up my various gifts. We had a great time and I want to thank everyone for being so sneaky. I have to hand it to you all, you got me but good! I never suspected a thing even if my Mom showed up at the bakery all dressed up.

The Tea Party

On Sunday, March 25th Neal's Auntie Lynda and Auntie Darlene and his Bubbie Fay held a beautiful tea party for me. Everything was fantastic. All of our friends and family were there to help me celebrate. The food was really great. They had salads, pasta, sandwiches and a lovely cake. They gave me a beautiful corsage to wear. I opened all of my gifts and we ooooh'd and awwww'd over them.

I want to thank Auntie Lynda, Auntie Darlene and Bubbie Fay for a fantastic shower. I also want to thank everyone who came and hope you all had a great time.
